As the music reaches its crescendo so do the brush strokes, and before you realise there is a canvas of colours before your eyes. That’s Vilas Nayak– an Indian artist, for you.
Vilas, renowned worldwide for his speedy live painting, is all set to show his talents in Doha on April 26. He will be exhibiting his talent on the eve of Chitrakala Art Competition 2019. 
The competition is being organised by the Creative Academy for Dance and Music (TCA Art) in association with the Visual Arts Forum India and Faber Castel at Birla Public School.
Drawing, colouring and painting competitions are arranged for around 400 children of following academic year groups; Little Wonders (KG1 & KG2) – only colouring, Twinkling Stars (Grade I to III), Blooming Buds (Grade IV to VI), Sparkling Butterflies (Grade VII to IX), Cheerful Unicorns (Grade X to XIII) and Artists in Making (17 Years and Above). The theme for the art is ‘Indian Culture or Qatari Culture.’
The live performance by Vilas will be a special show for the contestants as well as the art lovers of Doha. The orgnisers are expecting to have art enthusiasts witness the work of art wizard next Friday.
Vilas, a self-taught artist, started painting at the age of 3. He quit his lucrative job as a human resources officer in 2011 only to embark on his creative journey.
Finalist of India’s Got Talent season 3 and winner of ‘EC live quotient Most Innovative Act Award’ 2012, he is currently one of the most sought after speed painting artist in the world.
His performances on Asia’s Got Talent on AXN and Got Talent World Stage Live have caught attention of millions of art lovers across the world. 
He has so far performed all over India and 30 other countries.
Further, he has performed in some of the most prestigious stages like – United Nations General Assembly New York, United Nations Head Quarters Genava, Singapore President Star Charity show,  Asian Achievers Awards in London, NBA half time show for Legend Tim Duncan in Texas, NBA half time show for LA Clippers, Heart of Asia conference Amritsar, for the Prime Minister of India and Japanese PM in Varanasi, for President of India, for Indian Armed Forces, and at International Film Festival of India.
Art with a heart: Vilas responds to the social issues around the world by his beautiful art works that give out a message of peace and harmony in the world. He actively participates in various fund raising events and by auctioning live art works till date he has raised over $1million for various causes like treatment of cancer patients, education of kids, and differently abled people etc. 
He is also involved with India Inclusion Summit which is an inspirational platform that brings awareness and drives action on ground towards inclusion of people with disabilities at corporates, schools, policy making bodies, NGO’s and the parent associations. 
He loves performing for kids and as a part of ‘Know Your Star’ initiative he has been performing for and inspiring kids at rural villages to dream big.
Apart from entertaining the audience Vilas believes art can create social change and hence his art works often talk about peace, harmony, environment, crime against women, child labour, communal harmony and many issues that plague the world today. 
His art works have been appreciated by well-known personalities like The Dalai Lama, Football Legend Pele, Ex-president of India Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, President of India Pranab Mukherjee, PM of India Narendra Modi, President of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani, President of Singapore Tony Tan Keng Yam, former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, musician AR Rahman, French film director Betrand Tavernier, legendary music producer David Foster, Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton, Indian film stars Sharukh Khan, Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, Aishwarya Rai Bacchan, and cricket Virat Kohli. Further the list of the awards he has won is not very short. 
The acclaimed artist has won many national and international awards.
