Amir sends message to Venezuelan president
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani has sent a written message to Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, pertaining to bilateral relations and ways to boost them. The message was handed by Qatar’s ambassador to Venezuela, Rashid bin Mohsen Abdullah Fetais, during a meeting with the Executive Vice President of Venezuela, Delcy Rodrguez.

Amir congratulates president of Mali
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani sent yesterday cables of congratulations to Mali’s President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita on his country’s Independence Day. HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani also sent a similar cable to Prime Minister Soumeylou Boubeye Maiga.

Amir condoles with Vietnamese official
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani sent yesterday cables of condolences to the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Nguyen Phu Trong, on the death of Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang.

Blast in Afghanistan’s province condemned
Qatar has strongly condemned the bomb explosion that took place in north Afghanistan’s Faryab province leaving a number of children dead and injured. In a statement yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar’s firm position on rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of motives and reasons. It expressed condolences to the families of the victims and the government and people of the Afghanistan, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
