Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP) has signed a contract with Gulf Bridge Services (GBS) to provide services for primary source verification (PSV) for registration/licensing of all healthcare practitioners.
GBS is the second approved service provider to conduct PSV services, which is one of the mandatory requirements for registration and licensing of healthcare practitioners.
This is to ensure that all credentials submitted by healthcare practitioners are genuine, thereby assuring safe medical practice in Qatar.
Dr Samar Aboulsoud, acting CEO of QCHP, said: "QCHP aims to create a competitive environment between the two approved companies, which will efficiently reflect on the stakeholders’ satisfaction. This is a part of QCHP’s continuous pursuit to achieve its vision and objectives, and as per the performance indicators and quality standards followed in QCHP to provide the service in a timely manner.”
Any healthcare practitioner who submits an application to obtain the medical licence to practise in Qatar may choose to conduct the PSV services through either GBS or the existing services offered by Dataflow.
Applicants can apply through the GBS website or visit the customer service counter at the Ministry of Public Health or the company’s premises in Doha.
Services for following up on applications through the phone services are also available.
