Yusuf bin Mohamed al-Hail, Qatar’s ambassador to Nepal, has held a meeting with Gokarna Bista, Nepal’s minister of labour employment and social security.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and ways of supporting and developing them, in addition to matters of common concern.
Bista spoke about Nepal’s keenness to maintain the development of fruitful, friendly and stronger relations between the two countries.
He renewed his thanks for employment opportunities offered by Qatar to the Nepalese nationals, especially in the coming period until the start of the FIFA World Cup in 2022.
The ambassador stressed that Nepalese expatriates are appreciated and that friendly relations between the two countries allow for more co-operation for the benefit of Nepalese workers in Qatar.
Ambassador al-Hail also met Nepal’s Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed several issues of common interest.
Al-Hail expressed Qatar’s willingness to strengthen bilateral relations and security co-operation with Nepal in a number of sectors related to various challenges and security threats.
He also conveyed the keenness of Qatar’s Ministry of Interior to extend communication and co-operation through the exchange of information and experience with its counterpart in Nepal.
Thapa affirmed the distinguished relations between the two countries and commended Qatar’s care for the Nepalese community.
