Milipol Qatar has completed its extensive roadshow across major global industry events to raise awareness of the 12th edition of the leading international exhibition dedicated to homeland security and civil defence in the Middle East, which will be held in Doha from October 29 to 31.

The event, which will take place at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, will set the agenda for future internal security and public safety.
The 14-month engagement programme, which started in April 2017 and ended last month, saw the Milipol Qatar committee attend 13 high-profile industry events around the globe with the aim of engaging international homeland security and civil defence specialists to participate at Milipol Qatar 2018.
The marketing roadshow programme included visits to several exhibitions, including Milipol Asia 2017 in Singapore, International Defence Industry Fair in Turkey, Defence Security Exhibition International in the UK, Milipol Paris 2017, GPEC and Feuertrutz in Germany, HOSDB Security & Policing exhibition and IFSEC in UK, Intertraffic in the Netherlands, Defence Services Asia Exhibition and Conference in Malaysia, FDIC International in the US, the Special Operations Forces Exhibition & Conference in Jordan and the International Exhibition dedicated to Land Defence Activities – Eurosatory in France.
Milipol Qatar 2018 will be the “biggest and most immersive edition of the renowned exhibition to date”, according to a press statement. Featuring leading local and international exhibitors and several country pavilions – including France, Italy, Germany, UK and North America - the event will provide the “perfect platform to showcase the latest products and solutions to protect internal borders and people”, the organisers have said.
The addition of live demonstration for the first time will give homeland defence pioneers from around the world the opportunity to display their technologies in a controlled environment, giving key decision makers, exhibitors, visitors and buyers the opportunity to witness new products and innovations in action.
“Since its formation in 1996, Milipol Qatar has consistently brought together the world’s leading homeland security and civil defence experts under one roof and has evolved into the region’s international exhibition dedicated to the industry, with a truly global appeal,” said Brigadier Nasser bin Fahad al-Thani, president of the Milipol Qatar Committee.
“The recently concluded roadshow was a hugely successful exercise and helped reinforce the event’s standing as the event for global industry experts and emerging players to network, discuss, debate and set the agenda for the future of internal security. We have had some very positive feedback from international markets and look forward to an exciting and productive exhibition in October."
Milipol Qatar 2018 is now open for registration to exhibitors. It is a trade-only event, open exclusively to defence and security industry specialists and professionals.
The exhibition will be open from 9.30am to 5pm on October 29 and 30, and from 9.30am to 4pm on October 31.
