Qatar Charity (QC) has extended its sincere congratulations and best wishes to the wise Qatari leadership, government and people on Eid al-Fitr, praying to Allah the Almighty that peace and harmony would prevail in the world.
The charity has also congratulated “charity makers, good-doers and philanthropists” in Qatar in addition to other benefactors who have supported its projects worldwide throughout the year, and all those who have contributed to the success of the Ramadan campaign – “Giving is the Secret to Happiness” - launched for the current year (1439/2018), QC has said in a statement.
Yousif bin Ahmed al-Kuwari, CEO of Qatar Charity, expressed his heartiest congratulations to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, the Qatari government, people, residents, and Arab and Muslim nations across the world on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
He called upon Allah the Almighty to grant to Qatar further safety, security, stability, prosperity, peace and progress. He also wished for lasting peace and prosperity in the Arab and Muslim world.
Al-Kuwari thanked all those who interacted with QC’s Ramadan campaign, including, donors, public and private sector institutions, sponsors and all those who provided support to its projects and activities within and outside Qatar such as social figures, mediapersons and volunteers.
He stressed that the seasonal projects implemented by QC with the support of the people of Qatar have had a positive impact on millions at home and abroad, especially people in crisis and difficult humanitarian conditions. Also, the projects helped bring joy to the poor and needy, needy families, orphans, refugees and displaced people, al-Kuwari added.
The QC CEO took the opportunity to urge philanthropists in the country to continue supporting the needy and poor with their generosity and charity. He also pointed out that doing good was not limited to Ramadan and should continue throughout the year, especially under difficult and exceptional circumstances, praying to Allah the Almighty to accept “our good deeds and multiply our rewards”.
At the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, QC launched the “Giving is the Secret to Happiness” campaign, which included several seasonal projects implemented by the charity within and outside Qatar, such as Iftar, Eid clothing, food baskets, Zakat al-Fitr, in addition to public programmes and community initiatives.
