The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced that a traffic change on F-Ring Road will take place to enable the construction of an interchange linking F-Ring Road with G-Ring Road.

The detour, held in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, starts Thursday.

Traffic will be realigned to the permanent lanes of F-Ring Road for users travelling from Hamad International Airport towards Mesaimeer. The new route comprises four lanes, replacing the three-lane carriageway for a short distance of approximately 1,850m (as illustrated on the attached map).

In a statement, Ashghal has said the speed limit is 80km/h instead of 100km/h.

The authority has requested all road users to abide by the new speed limit and follow the signage installed for their safety.
