HE the Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed al-Thani yesterday reiterated Qatar’s commitment to its economic and strategic partnership with the US. He was speaking at the Qatar-US Economic Forum, organised by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce in Raleigh, North Carolina, in co-operation with Qatar Chamber, the US Chamber of Commerce, Qatari Businessmen Association and US-Qatar Business Council. The event is part of Qatar’s economic tour in the US.
The minister stressed that the tour, including its economic forums and bilateral meetings between Qatari businessmen and their American counterparts, and the organisation of sectoral round-tables and accompanying exhibitions, are all part of highlighting the economic and cultural partnership between Qatar and a number of major American cities. He noted that the tour has been organised to promote bilateral relations, trade and investment partnership between the two countries.
