The plan, he said, has been prepared in response to the growing requirements of the country’s residents in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
Among others, it has been decided to educate children and young people in schools and colleges about safe use of roads and improving the designs of roads for pedestrian safety.
It has also been decided to provide complete footpaths and crossings for pedestrians and identify more roads that need improvement for pedestrians. It has also been agreed to encourage the introduction of more people-friendly vehicles that are likely to give more safety to pedestrians.
