Vodafone Qatar has been
rated as a ‘Premium Operator’ for their roaming services by the GSMA
Association for the second year in a row.
The GSMA Association
represents the interests of mobile operators worldwide, uniting nearly
800 operators with more than 300 companies in the broader mobile
ecosystem, including handset and device makers, software companies,
equipment providers, and Internet companies, as well as organisations in
adjacent industry sectors.
Every year the association launches a
compliance scorecard to rate operators’ compliance with the latest
roaming standards and Vodafone Qatar received the highest score rating
again this year.
Vodafone Qatar CEO Ian Gray said: “We are delighted
that, once again, GSMA has recognised our premier roaming standard. At
Vodafone, we know how important it is for customers to have high-quality
roaming services allowing them to confidently connect abroad.
“Vodafone
globally maintains a leading roaming position and thanks to being part
of the world’s largest network, we in Qatar are able to give our
customers the widest roaming footprint and the widest 4G coverage.”
When
customers roam with Vodafone Qatar they can use their phone for calls
and data all around the world with 607 roaming partners all over the
world with 4G roaming available in 74 destinations. This is the widest
roaming footprint not only in Qatar but the GCC, Vodafone said.
Customers
are assured of network coverage while flying with Vodafone’s roaming
services on more than 400 international airlines. Moreover, with the
ocean covering 70% of the planet, when customers sail with Vodafone they
will be able to call, SMS and send e-mails with Vodafone’s maritime
roaming services.
On top of this, Vodafone’s Passport pack supports
roaming in 78 countries for QR100 a week and with Vodafone Global Data,
