Doha
Festival City has announced the launch of its first-ever ‘Fashion and
Beauty Park’ event as part of the Shop Qatar 2018 celebrations.
The
newest pop-up event within the mall “creatively transforms shipping
containers into venues that will host workshops and activities to guide
visitors through their fashion and beauty woes”, according to a press
statement.
Open from Wednesday to Saturday every week, between
January 10 and 27, shoppers will have access to free workshops on
fashion and beauty styling sessions as well as a meet-and-greet with
fashion and beauty experts.
At the Fashion Closet, image, etiquette
and protocol consultant Elisabete Reis, founder of Glam Your Image, will
offer daily consultation on colours, body type and general fashion
advice as well as conduct several workshops.
Joining her will be style blogger and columnist Elmira Kahrobaie.
The
Beauty Box will provide tips to use your newly acquired colour type to
get more advice from the beauty box, where experts will provide guidance
on skincare, make-up, beauty products, nail art and hairstyles.
Inside
the Beauty Box, one will find an array of beauty products arranged by
their colour category “for you to easily choose what is best for you”,
the statement notes.
Make-up artist and designer Joyce Bonelli, who
has worked with some of the biggest names in Hollywood, will also be
visiting the mall on January 26 for a meet-and-greet session from 6pm to
8pm.
People can relax in the meet-and-greet area and learn more at the weekly workshops hosted by experts every Friday at 6pm.
‘Fashion
and Beauty Park’ is an interactive area where visitors can enjoy
workshops that bring beauty and fashion together within three different
themes.
It will discuss concepts such as ‘Casual Chic’ from January
10 to 13, ‘Work Closet’ from January 17 to 20, and ‘Bridal/Evening
Wear/Cocktail’ from January 24 to 27.
Each week, both men and women can learn something new based on the three themes.
Elisabete
and Elmira will also be available to show visitors how to enhance their
best attributes with the right clothes, accessories, hairstyle and
make-up.
To mark the beginning of Shop Qatar today, Doha festival
City visitors can enjoy many additional activities throughout the mall,
including the “opportunity to step into the front cover of a magazine – a
moment to capture and take home”.
Shoppers spending QR200 at
participating retailers will be able to enter a raffle draw — with
“hundreds of thousands of riyals up for grabs”, the statement adds.
The closing ceremony will take place on February 8 with the raffle draw.
A number of attractions have been lined up for the Doha Festival City ‘Fashion and Beauty Park’ event.
