QIIB has warned customers against sharing their account details, which should remain highly confidential, and said the bank’s systems are highly secure.
In response to an audio clip being circulated in the social media that some customers have incurred losses due to fraudulent calls, QIIB said, “We regularly sends alert messages to our customers not to share their account details with anyone. Unfortunately, some customers do not seem to have heeded to our warnings.”
QIIB urged customers to secure their account details including the secret numbers or codes for mobile or Internet banking and not to share this with anyone, under any circumstance. The bank does not ask this to any customer so all such calls or messages are fraudulent.
The bank has also cautioned customers against opening any suspicious links and urged them to bring the matter immediately to its notice.
The bank affirmed that it reserves the right to take all legal action against those who spread false information that harm the bank or its customers or impact the high level of trust and credibility enjoyed by the bank and its systems and processes.
