*Third session of Qatar-Turkey Supreme Strategic Committee held
*Several agreements, MoUs signed
*Ankara to continue support to Doha in industrial, military fields


His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held the third session of the Qatar-Turkey Supreme Strategic Committee at the Emiri Diwan on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended by His Highness the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani and a number of ministers and the official Turkish delegation accompanying the president.
Welcoming the Turkish president, His Highness the Emir welcomed the and expressed his happiness at the meeting. 
Sheikh Tamim stressed Qatar will not forget the position taken by the Turkish president, the government and the brotherly Turkish people during the siege of Qatar.
The Emir pointed out that the agreements signed between the two sides aim to achieve more cooperation in the strong relations between the two countries in various fields.
The Turkish president thanked the Emir for the warm hospitality accorded to him and the accompanying delegation. He expressed his full confidence that "this session, like its predecessors, will enhance bilateral cooperation and achieve the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples".
The Turkish president also said that the meeting with the Emir dealt with economic and trade relations, stressing to continue the Turkish support to Qatar in various fields, especially in the industrial and military fields.
With regard to Qatar's hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup and Qatar 2030, the Turkish president expressed the readiness of the private sector in Turkey and the Turkish businessmen to cooperate and participate in the implementation of the related projects.
The Emir called for the organisation of the fourth session of the joint Supreme Strategic Committee in Turkey next year.

During the meeting, the Emir reviewed ways to strengthen the close cooperation between the two countries, and the prospects for upgrading the strategic relationship in all fields, in addition to discussing regional and international developments. 
Following the meeting, the Emir and the Turkish president witnessed the signing of a number of cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding between the two brotherly countries.
New deals signed included an agreement on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters, a cooperation agreement between Qatar University and the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK), a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of central banks of the two countries, a memorandum of understanding in the field of legal and judicial training, and a memorandum of intent for cooperation in meteorology.
They also witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the port administrations of the two countries, a memorandum of understanding on food safety, a memorandum of understanding in the field of humanitarian assistance and a memorandum of cooperation between Qatar Media Corporation and the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation. 
Both sides also witnessed the signing of the joint statement of the third session of the Turkish-Qatari Supreme Strategic Committee.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Deputy Emir and a number of ministers.
The Emir hosted a luncheon banquet at the Emiri Diwan in honour of the visiting President of Turkey and his accompanying delegation.

His Highness the Emir and the Turkish president held a meeting at the Emiri Diwan. 
The meeting dealt with bilateral relations between both fraternal countries as well as ways to boost and develop them. The meeting saw an exchange of views on all the current issues in the Arab and international arenas. 
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Emir.
Upon his arrival at the Emiri Diwan, the Turkish president was accorded an official reception.
The president also visited the Turkish military detachment in Doha.
During the visit, he confirmed the readiness of the Turkish forces and their joint cooperation with the Qatari forces.
The Turkish president was accompanied during the visit by HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah. 
Later, Erdogan and the delegation accompanying him were seen off at Hamad International Airport by Dr al-Attiyah, Ambassador of Qatar to Turkey Salim bin Mubarak al-Shafi and Turkish Ambassador to Qatar Fikret Ozer.
