The second day of 'Aspire Lake Festival' witnessed on Saturday another colourful and artistic display of lighting effects backed by alluring music, enthralling thousands of spectators.

The three-day event, organised by Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) in partnership with Katara and Ooredoo, turned the Aspire Lake into a unique and stunning "piece of art".
"This festival is absolutely fascinating, it's a huge treat for the whole family and the children, they enjoyed watching the performers on gondolas as they went around the lake," said Hannah, a British national who saw the first part of the show.
She added that such festivals provide residents and visitors with a diverse range of cultural and entertainment offerings, especially during the weekend.
The first day of the festival had seen more than 10,000 community members of all ages gathered at Aspire Park to witness a Venetian-inspired presentation.
More than 24 Italian performers, led by acclaimed art director Robert Corona, displayed spectacular singing, dancing, water, fire and air shows, on custom built sets and props including Gondolas and a Lotus flower.
“The team of experts at Aspire Logistics, a member organisation of AZF specialising in hosting major events for local community members, always go above and beyond. They travel extensively around the world to identify the best and most unique sporting and entertainment events to bring back to Qatar and make available to members of the community here,” AZF’s public relations and communications director Nasser Abdullah al-Hajri said.
According to al-Hajri, Aspire has become one of the most popular destinations for sports enthusiasts who love to exercise outdoors. Aspire Park attracts more than 8,000 visitors on weekends.
AZF is organising the festival to showcase the versatility of its facilities, apart from being used to irrigate its green areas and providing an exercise hub for Kayak lovers.
“Aspire Lake offers visitors to the park the opportunity to enjoy beautiful scenery which has been transformed into the perfect stage for this extraordinary event,” al-Hajri added.
