Qatar Racing Club has announced its schedule for the 2017-18 season, which are organised annually and aim to create a safe competitive environment to compete in line with the club’s vision and slogan of ‘Together Taking Racing off the Streets.’
The Round 1 of Qatar National Street Drag Championship will take place on October 26 and 27 to kick off the season. The tournament takes place over five rounds; three of which will be staged in October, November and December, while the last two rounds will be held in 2018. Round 4 is slated for the end of February and the final round is scheduled for early April.
The events calendar features Qatar Drift Championship, which has grown in popularity day and comprises five rounds as well that kick off in mid-November, while the second takes place in December. The last three rounds will be held in February, March and April of 2018.
As for Qatar Mile, the championship will be staged at Al Khor Airport runway and comprise four rounds; two rounds will be staged in December and the remaining two will be held in March 2018. 
The calendar also includes a number of test days for the 4x4 Freestyle Drift and Stunt Drive when the ring opens for contestants to practice their passion in freestyle drifting away from the dangers in the streets.
Meanwhile, the Arabian Drag Racing League kicks off in mid-January and will be the strongest at the Arab arena, featuring five rounds, of which three will take place in January before a one-week break is followed by the final two rounds in mid-February.
