Qatar’s Al Arabi won second place in the 33rd Arab Handball Clubs Championship hosted by the Moroccan city of Oujda after losing to Tunisia’s CS Sakiet Ezzit in a thrilling final on Saturday.
The match ended with a close 38-37 scoreline in favour of the Tunisian club.
For their part, Qatar’s Al Khor finished fourth in the same tournament. Al Arabi had qualified for the final after a 29-27 win over Saudi Arabia’s Al Safa, while Tunisia’s CS Sakiet Ezzit qualified for the final after winning their match against Al Khor 34-24.
This is the second consecutive title for Sakiet Ezzit in the Arab competitions, and the tenth title for Tunisian clubs in this tournament.
