The Competitions Committee of the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation (AGCFF) held its third meeting yesterday at the body’s headquarters in Al Bidda Tower, Doha.
Competitions Committee chairman Hameed al-Sheibani of Yemen opened the meeting and noted that a quorum was present. The meeting was attended by committee members Hamad al-Mannai, Eexecutive director of Competitions from Qatar, Hameed al-Jabiry from Oman, Meshal al-Enezi from Kuwait, Ahmed al-Harmi from Qatar, and Shehab Jubara from Iraq. Committee members Rashid al-Zuaby from the United Arab Emirates, Khalid al-Migrin from Saudi Arabia, and Abdul Reda Haqiqi from Bahrain did not attend the meeting. 
The competitions regulations were approved during the meeting and al-Mannai reviewed the final arrangements for the draw ceremony of the AGCFF Gulf Nations Cup Qatar 2017, which will take place today at the Four Seasons Hotel in the Qatari capital.
The distribution of the teams in the draw will be based on the final FIFA ranking in the month of September. 
The members of the committee raised recommendations and proposals to the General Secretariat for submission to the Executive Committee, which were scheduled to meet later yesterday.
The Media Committee for the AGCFF Gulf Nations Cup Qatar 2017 held its first meeting yesterday and was chaired by Khalid Mubarak al-Kuwari, the committee chairman, in the presence of committee members and AGCFF secretary general Jassim al-Rumaihi.
The meeting discussed the full-fledged media plan, which will be executed ahead of the tournament, as well as the media requirements and facilities which will be provided to members of the media during the tournament. 
The tournament media rules and regulations were also discussed during the meeting, specifically, the pre- and post-match press conferences.
Present at the meeting were also the chairmen of the various Gulf media delegations, who praised the efforts of the AGCFF and the organising committee, the Qatar Football Association (QFA), to organise the tournament to the highest level of standards.
