The Ministry of Education and Higher Education will launch on Thursday the ‘Back to School’ campaign for academic year 2017/2018, under the theme “By Education We Build Qatar”.
The campaign will continue until September 10 with the participation of a number of support companies and sponsors.
The campaign aims to strengthening communication among all parties involved in the educational process, to prepare students for the new academic year, to involve the parents and all partners of the educational process, and to benefit from the services provided to students and schools to start the new academic year more effectively.
The campaign will be held daily from 4pm to 10pm in the Mall of Qatar and Doha Kidzmundo Entertainment and Education City, one of the campaign’s supporting partners. Events on Fridays and Saturdays will be held from 3pm to 10pm.
At a press conference held yesterday, Director of the Media and Communication Department at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Hassan al-Mohammadi highlighted the co-operation with the Ministry’s partners in organising the campaign which reflects its importance in preparing the students for the new academic year, with the participation of parents and educators through a variety of activities, events and competitions.
He said that the campaign is one of the ministry’s successful initiatives that aim to enhance the abilities of students of both genders and to develop their creativity through a series of guidance and useful advice to serve the educational system in Qatar in all its aspects.
Al-Mohammadi noted that the Ministry of Education and Higher Education is fully prepared for the new academic year on September 10, including the preparation of 15 new schools and kindergartens, providing books and cadres, and fill the vacancies by hiring teachers from outside Qatar.
