Qatar has built a strong and credible position for itself among the international community over the last two decades, a leading expert in human resources and organisational development yesterday said.
“Qatar is popular world over for its high-income economy, major infrastructure development  and the national carrier Qatar Airways, which is one of the best airlines in
the world,” Badar Khan said.
Khan is  founder chairman  of Bama Inc, a management development and leadership consultancy based in Toronto, Canada.
He was a guest on the live radio show Haqeeqat that airs on Qatar Urdu Radio, and he spoke about the reaction of the international community to the Gulf crisis at Sunday’s programme.
“Whenever I travel abroad the question that’s most frequently asked by my friends and family members is about the situation in Qatar and I tell them that business is going on as usual and no project has been affected by the Gulf crisis,” Khan said, adding that “the crisis has turned out to be a blessing in disguise for Qatar as people are now more interested in investing here.”
Delegations from all over the world have been visiting Qatar recently to set up a wide variety of manufacturing units.
Haqeeqat aims to engage and interact with the large South Asian expatriate community in Qatar and it is a joint venture of the Gulf Times and Qatar Media Corporation Urdu Radio. The programme  is broadcast from Sunday to Thursday on FM107.
