The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) conducted an inspection campaign on Friday to spot the unlicensed street vendors at the Doha Industrial Area, in particular streets 42, 47 and 53.
The campaign was jointly conducted with the patrols of the Rescue Police (Al Fazaa) and the Internal Security Forces (Lekhwiya) in co-ordination with the entities concerned. The campaign resulted in removing 38 tonnes of different items, materials and refuse, as the unauthorised vendors were cleared along with their goods.
MME has said it would continue the periodical campaign to eradicate such unacceptable practices that violates the general cleaning law and regulations.
