Doha Bank received the ‘Qatar Domestic Trade Finance Bank of the Year’ and ‘Qatar Domestic Project Finance Bank of the Year’ awards at the Asian Banking & Finance (ABF) Wholesale Banking Awards 2017. The award was received recently by Doha Bank deputy head — International Banking M Sathyamurthy at Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore. The awards were judged by a panel of industry leaders and experts including senior members of Deloitte, Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), and KPMG. Doha Bank CEO Dr R Seetharaman said: “We are honoured to receive this prestigious award. Doha Bank was found to excel in areas pertaining to trade finance such as transaction volume, scope of global coverage, customer service, competitive pricing, and innovative technologies. “Doha Bank had also significantly participated in project finance in Qatar to support infrastructure development. This award is an acknowledgement of Doha Bank’s excellence in trade finance and project finance.
