The Nabodit Literary Library-Qatar (NLL) organised its 9th General Assembly recently at the Top Form Restaurant. It also marked the 203rd Birth Anniversary of Nepal’s First Poet Bhanubhakta Acharya on the occasion and held the Kriti Award Ceremony. 
The programme was presided over by NLL chairperson Sita Ram Thapa and Qatar-based Nepalese literary figure Tirtha Sangam Rai was the chief guest. 
Kriti Award, given every two years, was awarded to Ola, an essay collection by writer Binod Khadka. The other shortlisted literary works for the award were Crazy Love, Ghazal of Khotang, Niyama, Pida ma Pardesh (Overseas in Pain) and Indreni (Rainbow). 
NLL also felicitated Prem Prasad Bhattarai and Bhanu Sunuwar for their respective contributions to NLL and the Nepali literary scene of Qatar. 
The programme also saw the launch of Virginia Woolf ra Ashu ka Phool (Virginia Woolf and Flower of Tears) by essayist Jaya Rai. During the programme, poets Ishwor Shahi, Tika Khadka, Rup Rasaili, Binda Lama and Santosh Adhikari recited their poems. 
The new nine-member working committee will be led by Lekh Karki.
