Qatar  youth handball team will leave for Algiers, Algeria tomorrow to participate in the 2017 IHF Men’s Junior World Championship. The championship will be held from July 18 to 30.
Qatar played two warm-up matches against Macedonia and also competed in a friendly involving Spain and Tunisia at Duhail Arena. A training camp was also held for the team in Spain from June 4 to 16. 
Qatar is in a very tough group comprising reigning champions France, runners-up Denmark and fourth-placed Egypt, Qatar open their campaign against Sweden on July 18. Then they will take on Slovenia on 19, Denmark on 21, France on 22, before finishing their group engagements with a match against Egypt on July 24. Qatar need to finish in the top four in the six-team group to earn a place in the last 16. 
The Team is headed by Adel Hilal Alanzi, Board member Qatar Handball Federation. The other members of the delegation are – Adel Jacob Laram the manager of the team with the Spanish coach Valero Rivera, Manuel Montai, a statistician, Mohamed Shawki, Daniel Panito.
The 18-member Qatar team: Ahmed Magdi, Ameen Ben Nour El Din, Amr Diab, Farouk Kolo, Salem Zuhair, Omar Khaled, Mustafa Amir, Buzo Subotik, Bilal Libenika, Mohamed Hani, Adi Ben Hassan, Jamal Ali, Al Shazly Nabil and Edson Pagritsch, Khalid Bakhdur, Mohamed Mallah, Govo Damjanovic and Mohamed Said.

IHF Super Globe from August 25
The 11th IHF Super Globe will be held in Doha from August 25 to 28. Qatar’s Al Sadd Sports Club, Macedonia’s Vardar, Brazil’s Pinheiros, Australian Syndey University Handball Club, Tunisia’s Esperance Sportive, Germany’s Fuchse Berlin, Iran’s Oil and Gas Handball Club and Spain’s Barcelona will take part in the championship. The quarter-finals will be held on August 25, while the semi-finals are slated for August 26th and the final is on August 28. 
Barcelona won the 2013 and 2014 Super Globe titles and Fuchse Berlin won the 2016 edition after winning Paris Saint Germain 29 to 28 in the final game.
