His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani yesterday held a telephone conversation with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to congratulate him on the occasion of advent of the blessed Eid al-Fitr. During the phone call, the Emir also expressed condolences over the death of several people in the explosion of an oil tanker in the east of Pakistan, and wished speed recovery to the injured. The Emir also expressed Qatar’s readiness to help Pakistan in this disaster. Earlier, the Emir and His Highness the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani sent cables of condolences to Pakistan President Mamnoon Hussain expressing sincere condolences.
