Doha Festival City (DFC), a leading entertainment, retail and hospitality destination in Qatar managed and operated by Al-Futtaim, continued with its family-friendly Ramadan celebrations over the last weekend of the holy month as visitors were treated to free henna designs by artists on site.

In a statement, Doha Festival City also announced it had lined up shows and activities for the five-day Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
As part of the festivities, guests will be entertained by the Ice Age Collision Course live show, Ambush Man’s performance and Museum Statues.
During the last weekend of Ramadan, children had the opportunity to handcraft their own personalised henna designs take home with them as art pieces. Also, throughout the weekend, shoppers had the chance to have their photographs taken with a falcon.
For five days, and in celebration of Eid al-Fitr, Doha Festival City will be bringing the “Camouflage Art” trend to Qatar for the first time. With their “unique and exclusive” Ambush Man act, created especially for Qatar audiences, this act “mixes art and entertainment to surprise the audience”.
“As the audience passes by the frame and realise that there is a man standing in front of it, completely blending with the art in the frame, they will react in many different ways. Fun and interactive, the Ambush Man will have everyone wanting more,” the statement notes.
Ambush Man will be staged from June 27 to July 1, with the first show taking place from 3.20pm to 3.40pm (Axis Node), the second from 5pm to 5.20pm (Entertainment Node) and third from 7pm to 7.20pm (Atrium Node).
Guests will also be entertained by “beautiful living statues showcasing the Arab culture with their performances” over five days. Based on popular street entertainment, the Museum Statues will be based on Qatar's heritage and culture.
Museum Statues will be “showcasing the unique relationship the nation has with the nature surrounding them and shining a light on Qatar heritage - making this unique act both fun and educational for all types of audiences”.
Museum Statues will be held from June 27 to July 1, with the first show taking place from 4.30pm to 4.50pm (The Luxury Court), the second from 6pm to 6.20pm (Cloud Node) and the third from 7.30pm to 7.50pm (North Food Court).
Visitors to Doha Festival City will also be entertained by a live interactive stage show featuring the stars of the Ice Age movies.
“After the Collision Course, your favourite Ice Age characters Sid, Diego and Scrat are coming directly to meet visitors on stage,” the statement adds. “Guests will be able to join them and embark on a fabulous singing and dancing adventure. Fly into space, chase the sun, explore the solar system and learn how to save our planet. And of course, see if Scrat will finally catch his acorn.”
Ice Age Collision Course will be held at the Centre Court from June 27 to July 1, with the first show taking place from 4pm to 4.30pm, the second from 5.30pm to 6pm and the third from 8.30pm to 9pm.
Entry is free for all the shows.
