The international reach of the The Emir’s Sword Festival 2017 continues to impress with Racing UK, one of the world’s most prominent horseracing channels, broadcasting the action today.
The UK-based channel will broadcast today’s racing, alongside action from the London racecourse, Kempton Park, and Meydan, the flagship course in the UAE, to an audience of racing professionals and enthusiasts.
The relationship between Qatar and the UK continues to grow. Al Kass have a deal in place with Racecourse Media Group (RMG), parent company of the Racing UK channel, which enables the Qatari broadcaster to show all the top action from the UK. In addition, RMG, the distributors of all the racing from Meydan, has also enabled the Dubai World Cup fixture to be shown on Al Kass on March 25.
Seb Vance, director of PR and Communications at RMG, who is in Qatar for the fixture, said, “Interest in Qatar’s racing continues to grow in the UK, and that is reflected by a very strong British presence at Al Rayyan on Saturday, headed by Sir Michael Stoute’s Arab Spring. Racing UK is looking forward to showcasing what Qatar racing has to offer to the horsemen and race fans.
“Horseracing ties between the two countries are very strong. Many of the top races which we will be showing  this year on Racing UK enjoy Qatari sponsorship and we are delighted that they will be brought to Qatar’s TV audience through our partnership with Al Kass.”
