The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) announced that about 1,500 students from grade 10 in 15 schools have been vaccinated against Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis (TdaP).

MOPH started early this week the routine annual campaign to vaccinate grade 10 students from government and private schools against Tdap.

The campaign, in its seventh year, is carried out in collaboration with the Primary Health Care Corporation and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

TdaP are considered dangerous and may result in death or disability in young adults. Health protection and Communicable Diseases Control Department at the MoPH has asked all parents to advise their children to take advantage of the vaccination, as it has a major impact on their health protection and prevention of TdaP.
