Under the patronage of its chairperson, HE Sheikha Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, Qatar Museums (QM) is participating in this year’s Qatar Shopping Festival, (QSF). As part of QSF, QM will be opening a pop-up retail store in Landmark Mall, giving shoppers the opportunity to purchase exclusively designed products inspired by QM’s museum collections and exhibits.

During the month-long shopping festival, which runs until February 7, the QM pop-up store will include exclusively designed products including art books and jewellery, home décor, gifts, stationary and accessories, all of which aim to offer a taste of Qatari culture and heritage.

Under the slogan “a brand new tradition”, QSF 2017 is organised by the Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA). The month-long shopping festival will include various discounts, live concerts, stand-up comedy shows and a Broadway musical. The Festival will host major raffles, promotions, special offers on flights and hotel bookings, and a great selection of entertainment.

Khalid Yousef al-Ibrahim, chief strategic planning officer at Qatar Museums, said, “At QM, we continue to deliver our promise of creating cultural experiences outside of our museums for everyone to interact with and enjoy. We are proud to offer customers visiting Landmark Mall an additional opportunity to discover a wide range of quality gifts and souvenirs inspired by Qatar Museums’ extensive, world-class collections, exhibitions, public art and heritage sites.”

Qatar Museums’ retail offering aims to inspire customers to continue their creative exploration at home. QM has seven retail outlets in total. Gift shops are located in all museums, including the Museum of Islamic Art and Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art; galleries at Al Riwaq and Katara; and also in Al Zubarah, The Gate Mall and Hamad International Airport .
