Ooredoo is set to launch this year an online portal for its Qatar Data Centre’s customers, where they can raise service requests, follow-up on issues and ask for on-demand reporting.
The Qatar Data Centre celebrated its tenth anniversary in December 2016 and Ooredoo opened a new server floor at its QDC5 facility to ensure it stays ahead of the demand for data services.
Ooredoo now operates five data centres with a capacity of more than 55,000sft, with potential future expansion capacity of up to 100,000sft, it was explained in a statement.
“Already serving many of Qatar’s largest and most strategically-important organisations, Ooredoo has welcomed a number of new international customers in 2016, and is in on-going discussions with several global enterprises to provide hosting services in Qatar
“The Qatar Data Centre offers a range of services, including Hosting and Co-location, Cloud Services, Data Backup & Restoration, Managed Storage, E-mail and Web Security, and has been designed in compliance with Tier-3 standards.”

As part of its on-going development, Ooredoo has launched ‘Advanced Managed Services’ at the Qatar Data Centre, which provides the highest levels of security, infrastructure availability, redundancy and disaster recovery options for servers, applications and data.
