The countdown has begun for the highly anticipated Qatar Airways Match of Champions between FC Barcelona and Al-Ahli Saudi FC, which will be held in Doha on December 13th at the Thani Bin Jassim Stadium (Al Gharafa Stadium).
As the date of this unique friendly match approaches, the Local Organising Committee (LOC) have now placed the first batch of tickets for sale on the website (www.qfa.qa) of the Qatar Football Association (QFA).
Every supporter can buy up to a total of four tickets, on one or both of the following categories: Category 1 (QR200), Category 2 (QR100).
The LOC, which comprises representatives of the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, QFA, and Qatar Stars League (QSL), said it was delighted to announce the launch of ticket sales and to support the event between two of the most popular teams in the world.
The LOC has also confirmed plans to release a second batch of tickets on the QFA website which also will include the VIP tickets. Tickets will also be available in a number of locations including local malls. Further details will be announced early next month, via the QFA’s social media channels.
Qatar Airways is the official sponsor of the two football giants. In October 2014, the national carrier of the State of Qatar announced a sponsorship agreement for three seasons with Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli. Earlier this year, Qatar Airways extended its FC Barcelona sponsorship for another season, with the deal running until June 2017.

In the 2015/2016 season, Al-Ahli won the Saudi Professional League. The club also won the Saudi Super Cup and the Kings Cup.
FC Barcelona won their 23rd La Liga title this year, the Copa del Rey and are the reigning champions of the FIFA Club World Cup. The club won the treble during the 2014/2015 season comprising of the La Liga, Copa del Rey and UEFA Champions League titles.
