Ooredoo has announced that the Ooredoo Money app is now available in five new languages – Hindi, Malayalam, Nepali, Bengali and Tagalog – along with the existing options of English and Arabic.
This has been done to ensure that “as many people as possible can enjoy the range and functionality of the award-winning Mobile Money service”, Ooredoo has said in a press statement.
Customers can now choose to access the app in the five new language options alongside the conventional USSD menu (*140#), which is available in English and Arabic, the statement notes.
Customers can download or upgrade the app for free from the Google Play Store or Apple iTunes store, register, set up mPIN and immediately gain access to the range of interactive mobile financial services provided by Ooredoo Money.
Fatima Sultan al-Kuwari, community and public relations director at Ooredoo, said: “The announcement is another step forward as we aim to provide the best possible experience for all our customers. By offering the app in a wide range of languages, we are reflecting Qatar’s diverse communities and ensuring that everyone has the full confidence to access the Ooredoo Money App safely and conveniently.”
With Ooredoo Mobile Money, customers can send money to more than 350,000 MoneyGram agent locations across the globe at “competitive exchange rates and affordable fees”, pay Shahry bills, recharge Hala services and Ooredoo Passport and do more, the statement adds.
In addition, customers can also send money directly to bank accounts in a number of countries, including Bangladesh, Nepal, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Malaysia.
