Passenger traffic at Dubai International Airport, the world's busiest for international travel, increased 2.7% from a year earlier to 6.4mn people in October, the airport's operator said in a statement on Thursday.
In the first 10 months of this year, traffic grew 6.8% to 69.36mn people, with the operator saying the airport was on track to reaching its target of 83mn passengers in 2016.
The airport handled 236,159 tonnes of cargo in October, an increase of 9.5% compared to a year earlier.
Dubai International only handles some of the emirate's air freight with Dubai's second airport, Al Maktoum International, also handling cargo operations.
