Windy conditions are expected in offshore areas lying to the north by Thursday night,  the Qatar Met department has said.

The weather office also tweeted on Wednesday about a sea warning on Friday for strong northwesterly winds (18-25 knots) and high waves (6-8ft, going up to 10ft), and the conditions were likely to continue until late Saturday.
On Thursday, the wind speed may reach a high of 20 knots in offshore areas towards the north by night, while the sea level is expected to go up to 6ft in such places. Hazy to misty conditions are also likely in some offshore areas at first along with clouds.
Meanwhile, poor visibility – 2km or less - is likely in parts of the country in the early hours of the day, according to the weather report.
The detailed forecast for inshore areas also says hazy to misty/foggy conditions are likely in some places at first, followed by mild conditions during the day with some clouds.
A maximum temperature of 34C was recorded in Al Sheehaniya, Abu Samra and other places on Wednesday, followed by 33C in Al Rayyan, among others. In the capital, the mercury level reached a high of 32C in the Qatar University area and 31C in the Doha airport area. The minimum temperature, on the other hand, was 20C in Al Sheehaniya and some other places on Wednesday, while in the capital it was 27C in the Doha airport area.
On Thursday, the maximum temperature is expected to be 34C in Abu Samra and 33C in Doha and Al Khor, while the minimum will be 20C in Abu Samra. The minimum temperature will be relatively higher in Doha at 25C.
