Filmmaker Neeraj Pandey’s upcoming biopic M S Dhoni — The Untold Story, which is set to be dubbed in Marathi, says he is excited with the local language release as the regional language film industry is booming.
The film, which is based on Indian cricket skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, has already been dubbed in Tamil and Telugu. This would be the first time a Hindi biopic is getting a Marathi release.
“The love for M S Dhoni in this country is unparalleled. Through this film, our effort is to show his life, his journey, his struggle... The regional language film industry is booming and the set of audiences seeing local language content is fairly different than those watching Hindi cinema,” Pandey said in a statement.
The Baby helmer adds that Dhoni’s life is an “universal story”.
“It transcends languages, people across the country love him for his work towards our motherland and we are excited to present Dhoni’s life closer to his fans through these local language releases,” he added.

Amy Schumer says her TV show is over

Actress Amy Schumer says her TV show Inside Amy Schumer is finished despite it being renewed for a fifth season. “I am so saddened and disappointed in Kurt Metzger. He is my friend and a great writer and I couldn’t be more against his recent actions,” Schumer tweeted, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
“Kurt does not work for me. He is not a writer on my show. Please stop asking me about it. His words are not mine.
“I didn’t fire Kurt. He isn’t a writer for my show because we aren’t making the show anymore. There are no writers for it,” she added in the post.
The Price Check star also retweeted a fan’s post which read: “You’re the best, and we’ll miss your show. And Twitter sucks sometimes.”
Her comments come after Metzger accused rape victims who don’t report their assaults to police as “weak” and of “talking nonsense”, as he defended fellow comedian Aaron Glaser, who has been accused of sexual assault.
Meanwhile, Schumer’s comments about the show being overcome as a surprise as in January she shared that it had been picked up for a fifth season.
“IAS season 5 got picked up!,” Schumer had posted.
However, following the success of her movie Trainwreck, Schumer has been building a successful film career and has two new releases Thank You For Your Service and Mother/Daughter in the pipeline. — IANS
