City Center Rotana Doha (CCRD) hosted a number of fitness activities for guests that included dance aerobics, stepper challenge, summit climb challenge and spinning classes to celebrate Qatar’s National Sport Day (NSD) on Tuesday.
To promote active lifestyles and create a healthy community, CCRD’s Bodylines Fitness & Wellness Club provided tailor-made workout routines.
“We focused on increasing engagement and participation in NSD through innovative fitness programmes. We believe that by planning carefully, one can make fitness a healthy habit that lasts a lifetime,” said Lana Jwainat, cluster director of Marketing & Communications at CCRD and Oryx Rotana.
Hotel guests also had free access to its gym from 6am to 11pm. Dance aerobics was another activity where they  enjoyed by exercising to pulse-pounding music from 8am to 9am at the pool side. CCRD provided opportunities for high intensity fitness circuits that helped burn calories. Those interested registered for the stepper challenge as well as summit climb challenge and to burn 100 calories in five to seven minutes.
Another high intensity cardio fitness programme included ‘spinning’ classes in the afternoon. In each of these activities, participants competed against each other and the winners received gifts.
Hotel guests were also treated to start the fit lifestyle and to revel without feeling guilty, by having a healthy lunch at the Aquarius Restaurant. The hotel offered special room packages, inclusive of healthy breakfast.
To further encourage and motivate people to opt for a healthier lifestyle, CCRD is offering 50% discount on personal training, and another 50% discount on Bodylines’ gym membership in the month of February.
