The Advisory Council yesterday held its weekly regular meeting under the chairmanship of Speaker HE Mohamed bin Mubarak al-Khulaifi.
At the outset of the meeting, HE the Secretary-General of the Advisory Council Fahad bin Mubarak al-Khayareen read the agenda which was agreed upon. Then the Council endorsed the minutes of its previous session.
The Council discussed a draft law amending some provisions of Law No (8) for the year 2002 on organising commercial agents’ work and decided to refer it to the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee to study it and submit a report thereon to the Council.
The Committee later discussed the draft law at a meeting chaired by its rapporteur Mohamed Ajaj al-Kubaisi.
The Committee decided to invite HE the Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed al-Thani to attend its next meeting to listen to the viewpoint of the ministry about the draft law.
