Spread your wings of compassion
Dear Sir,
The other day I witnessed an incident which melted my heart. While walking on a Doha street, I saw two birds dying due to thirst in this extremely hot summer. The birds were looking for water, but their search was in vain. I tried to look for a place to get water for them, but it was too late.
I came home heartbroken, and realised that definitely other birds are also facing the same situation. So, I filled a bowl of water and kept it outside my house.
You couldn’t imagine the number of birds which came to drink the water. This made me very happy that I saved some lives.
We should realise that these marvellous creatures are affected by urban structure and environmental changes.
We should all share the same sense of compassion towards animals. Putting a big bowl of water outside your home neither costs money nor time. We should translate our compassion towards animals into action, albeit with a trivial effort.
