Qatar Expo Event Management, the organisers of the eighth Doha International Oil and Gas Exhibition (DIOGE), has announced the major sponsors for the event.
The event will be held at Doha Exhibition Centre from October 7 to 10 under the patronage of HE Dr Mohamed bin Saleh al-Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry and Chairman of Qatar Petroleum.
Covering 10,000sq m, the four-day event will feature a major exhibition with participants from 20 countries, including Kenya, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, the US, Singapore, Switzerland and Turkey. Around 10,000 representatives from local, regional and international oil and gas companies are expected to attend the event.
The major sponsors are Qatar Petroleum (QP), ExxonMobil Qatar, RasGas Company Limited (RasGas), Occidental Petroleum of Qatar (Oxy Qatar) and Qatar Shell. Qatar Expo Event Management has also announced that 90% of the exhibition space has been sold out.
Showing its support for DIOGE, QP has confirmed its participation in the event as the host and platinum sponsor. ExxonMobil Qatar, meanwhile, has signed on as a diamond sponsor.
“ExxonMobil is pleased to partner with the Doha International Oil and Gas Exhibition this year,” said Saleh al-Mana, vice-president of public and government affairs for ExxonMobil Qatar. “The exhibition offers immense opportunities and our decision to support it stems from our commitment to support Qatar across various fronts, particularly in advancing public awareness about the role Qatar has assumed as the largest supplier of liquefied natural gas.”
RasGas, too, will take part in the 8th DIOGE as a diamond sponsor, while Oxy Qatar will participate in it as gold and lanyard sponsor. And, for the second time, Qatar Shell has confirmed its collaboration in the exhibition as a gold sponsor.
Renaissance Doha City Center Hotel is the official hotel for DIOGE 2013.
The event will create a platform that will help strengthen relationships with the most influential players in the field, said Hadi Ali, CEO of Qatar Expo.
The eighth DIOGE also has the support of reputable national and international media partners such as The Oil & Gas Year, Spie Oil & Gas Year, Universal Solutions/Gulf Oil and Gas, Oil Gas Directory, Upstream, World Oil, DMS Global, Alain Charles, Easy Finder, Gasworld, The Edge, Media Network, Petrofinder, Petronoticias, Pegasus Consultancy, TPG Publishing – Qatar Magazine and Creative Design.
