talabat, QRCS launch #ForPalestine charity campaign

talabat, the region’s leading platform for everyday deliveries, yesterday, launched its week-long Ramadan charity campaign. In collaboration with several local restaurants, talabat will donate QR3 to Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) for every order placed at selected vendors, during the campaign that runs until April 3.Several restaurants from different cuisines are participating. Asian and Arabic Cuisine: Maison De Sushi, Olio, Indian Biryani Factory, Afghani Union Mandi, Mediterranean Fusion Restaurant, Indian Grill House Restaurant, Hal Kitchens, Chelow Kabab, Sallora Sweets & Shami Food, Diet Station.Shawarma Cuisine: Shawarma Maryam, Shawarma Doner, Farooj-T, King Shawarma And Pastries.American Cuisine: Cheat Burger, Dindan Restaurant, Cric Crac Restaurant, kavo, Blue Box, Juicy Bite Burger.Italian cuisine: Rosso Pizzeria, Cube Restaurant, Wabel.Bakeries: Cannelle Patisserie, Magnolia Bakery, Catharei Bakery and Sweets, Umm Salal Mohammed Modern Bakery, Blanche Pastry and Bakery, FNP Cakes, Zain, Khor Shqiq Bakery.Cafes and Desserts: Ambes Thursday Cafe, Ground Coffee Shop, Hi Cream, Okashi, Mania, Bread World, Cannelle, Alassi, Pure Sweet, Cardi Cafe & Bakery, Salsabeel Cafeteria.Here is how to donate: 1. Open the talabat app, 2. Select “Food”, 3. Select "For Palestine" collection, 4. Choose your favorite restaurant and place your order.Commenting on the initiative, Francisco Miguel Condeco Caetano De Sousa, managing director of talabat Qatar, stated: “We are delighted to launch this Ramadan charity campaign, allowing customers to play a direct role in giving back to those in need with a click of a button. At talabat, we believe in the power of collective action, and this campaign provides an opportunity for everyone to contribute and make a positive difference while enjoying the convenience of food delivery”.Regionally, talabat will also be contributing 1mn hot iftar meals to the World Food Programme’s emergency response in Gaza, as part of the month of Ramadan. This is to address the immediate food needs of 33,000 people mainly women and children in informal and congested shelters during Ramadan. These hot meals will be distributed by WFP - who are on the ground in Gaza - to displaced people residing in Rafah, Gaza Strip & North Gaza.Such campaigns align with talabat's mission to leverage its platform for good and promote a culture of giving back. By harnessing the collective efforts of its customers and restaurant partners, talabat aims to provide essential assistance for vulnerable communities and spread the spirit of generosity throughout Ramadan.
