The League’s technical committee yesterday morning met in the main conference hall on the 29th floor of Al Bidda tower, the home of Qatari football.
The meeting focused on the final preparations for the launch of the new Qatar Stars League (QSL) season. The meeting was chaired by Ahemd Adsani, Competitions Supervisor, Ali Khulaifi, a representative from the referees committee, and also representatives from the 14 member clubs.
Among the topics of discussion was the issue of team colours, this season with the ascendance of Al Shamal and Al Shahania there are many teams with blue and red colours in their kits.
Adsani confirmed that all necessary equipment supplied by the league was now in place such as official club merchandise allocations, fan banners and flags as well as bibs, balls and many other things.
For their part, the referee committee said that there was a new law added and encouraged the clubs to respect all the laws of the game in the new season.
All official visits to the eight stadiums that will be used this season were completed and all requests for improvements and repairs were carried out.
The venues to be used next season are: Lekhwiya, Al Gharafa, Al Arabi, Qatar Sports Club, Al Sadd, Al Shamal, Al Khor and Al Wakrah.
It is time for the football season to begin now.
