Dukhan English School won the Qatar Under-14 School Boys Cricket Tournament, which was organised by the Qatar Cricket Association under the sponsorship of the Asian Cricket Council here, recently.
With the help of a fine half-century by Joshwin, Dukhan English School outplayed MES Indian School by nine wickets in the final .
Chasing 98 to win, he smashed a superb 57 and led his team to the comfortable victory. Hamza played a commendable supportive role and scored 39.
Earlier, MES Indian School could manage only 97 for four in 15 overs in face of some tight bowling and fielding. Owais scored 36 runs for MES School.
Vishesh (20) was other batsman to get into the double figures. Maaz picked two wickets, while Vidith and Nishant shared two others. In all, nine teams had taken part in the tournament. They were divided into two pools.
Gul Mohammad Khan Jadoo, the Head of the QCA Domestic Cricket gave away the prizes. Those present on the occasion included Amin Ul Islam (Member School Boys Cricket), Syed Hassan Raza (Head of Technical Committee), Shamsuddin (Coach), Mohammad Nawas (Umpires Coordinator), Mohammad Jahangir (Coach) and Shashi Patra (Physio).
