PARIS: Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz came out in support yesterday of an international force to stop the violence in Lebanon.

After talks with President Jacques Chirac of France, he said that Saudi Arabia “backs and supports any sensible policy to find a solution to the present problems.” Asked if that meant an international force, he said: “We think that would be the best solution.”

“We cannot allow Israel to continue these acts, we cannot permit Israel to play with the lives of civilians, women, old people and children.” – AFP
