COLLEGE of the North Atlantic Qatar (CNAQ) celebrated International

Nurses Day on Thursday at both the Duhail and Rayyan campuses.

As a provider of pre-nursing studies, this year’s theme - ‘Safe Staffing Saves Lives’ - was particularly important to CNAQ, president Dr Harald Jorch said in his address.

It was in 1971 that the International Council of Nurses designated May 12, Florence Nightingale’s birthday, as International Nurses Day.

“Commemorating the contributions made in the provision of health care in a variety of settings, the day is also an opportunity to recognise the impact and benefits nurses have on everyone’s lives,” Jorch added.
