THE Birla Public School (BPS) yesterday celebrated its second Founder’s Day at a function that featured a number of performances by children.

Rajinder Bhagat, minister (political) at the Indian embassy, released the fourth issue of the school’s newsletter.

Carnegie Mellon University dean Dr Chuck Thorpe, who was the guest of honour, demonstrated a robotic dog for the audience.

The school will also stage a cultural show at the Gulf Cinema at 6pm today. Indian Ambassador Dr George Joseph is the chief guest.
