ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and India will run trial buses between Lahore and Amritsar on December 11 and 13 whereas talks for the commencement of Nankana-Amritsar bus service will be held here on December 20-21.
Foreign Office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam, when contacted yesterday, said a trial bus would travel from Amritsar to Lahore on December 11 while on December 13 a bus would go from Lahore to Amritsar.
She, however, added the officials from two countries would only travel by the trial bus.
According to an earlier reached agreement, talks between Pakistan and India on Nankana-Amritsar bus service were scheduled to be held in October but were put off due to October 8 earthquake.
Tasnim said Pakistan had proposed new dates for the talks, which were accepted by India. – Internews |
