AN Ethiopian housemaid found to be infected with Hepatitis B, has been asked to leave Qatar immediately, just six weeks after her arrival, sources said.
Her sponsor said that when she arrived in Doha in early July, he was informed by the relevant authorities that the 27-year-old woman did not have any disease, but was later told that she suffered from the contagious liver disease.
The sponsor took the maid to Hamad Hospital for further check-ups on Tuesday and the next appointment was fixed for August 23.
However, it is expected that she would be sent back at the earliest, the sources said.
