Emir receives GCC chief

HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani with HE the GCC Secretary General Abdurrahman bin Hamad al-Attiyah at the Emiri Diwan yesterday. The Emir was briefed on the topics that will be listed on the agenda of the upcoming 30th GCC Summit, due to be held in Kuwait.

National Day greetings sent
HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani and HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani have sent congratulatory cables to the President of Finland on the occasion of her country’s National Day.

Letter from Polish PM
HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani has received a letter from the Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk pertaining to the bilateral relations and issues of common concern. The letter was delivered by the Poland’s Ambassador to Qatar Robert Rostick when the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister received him yesterday.

PM holds talks with envoys
HE Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani yesterday received the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Qatar John Mark Hawkins and Ambassador of Brazil in Doha Anuar Nahes.  The Prime Minister reviewed Qatar’s relations with the two countries, besides a number of regional and international issues of common interest.

Meeting with French minister

HE the Minister of State for Internal Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani yesterday held talks with the visiting French Minister of State, Keeper of the seals and Minister of Justice Michele Alliot-Marie.
