Mannai officials attend Subaru test drive

Impreza and, below, Legazy models launched recently
Senior officials of Mannai Trading Company, importers Subaru, Cadillac, Hummer, GMC and Opel brands in Qatar, visited the Bahrain F1 track earlier this week, to take part in a test drive of the new Legacy 2010 and the Impreza WRX STi 2010 models.
Japan’s Fuji Heavy Industries, the owner of the Subaru brand, had invited its dealers from the GCC countries to witness the event prior to launch of the models in the showrooms.
After a presentation on the new models, the officials were given the chance to use the FI track for the test run.
One of the test models was the Legacy Turbo and the other was the Impreza STi.
“The legacy is also noticeably smoother and quieter than previous incarnations,” said senior Mannai Trading official Ziad Shuaib, who attended the event.
The legacy wasn’t alone on the track, however. The 305 hp, WRX STi is the highest spec Impreza and the 2010 model features a black Alcantara trim and a black centre console with contrasting red stitching. “The STi drives as well as it looks,” said Shuaib. “With its sharp handling, powerful brakes and stunning throttle response, the car is a joy to drive.”
“We are thrilled to have these amazing machines in Qatar so that our customers can buy them and enjoy them,” said Shuaib.
Both the 2010 Legacy and the 2010 Impreza are now available in Qatar.
