The three-day founders’ day celebrations of Birla Public School got underway on Monday.
The first day’s highlights were performances by KG students. Values such as friendship and patriotism were portrayed in programmes, ‘You are my Sunshine’ and ‘Maa Tujhe Salaam.’
The rendition of rhymes in ‘Evolution’ revealed the intriguing secrets of science and creation to the audience. They also sent out a message to save the environment. Singing the peppy song ‘Una Paloma Blanca’ the juniors proclaimed to the world the joys of freedom and liberty. The children regaled the spectators with the song ‘Red River Valley’ and Brazilian ‘Fusion Dance’. Their passion for gifts was demonstrated in ‘Oh Dear.’
Dances to the accompaniment of popular Bollywood numbers, a tribute to Michael Jackson, a classic rendition of the fairy tale ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,’ and a performance to the tune of a golden oldie from ‘The Sound of Music,’ were among the other attractions.
School chairman Dr Mohan Thomas, directors C V Rappai, Lukose K Chacko, Gope Shahani and Aarti Oberoi, principal A K Shrivastava, vice-principal Shirley Rappai, headmistress Bhanumathi Ganti and KG head Shruthi Chauhan were present.
