HH the Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, yesterday received a verbal message from Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, dealing with co-operation between the two countries and issues of mutual interest. The message was conveyed by Ahmed Qaddaf al-Dum, the special envoy of the Libyan leader, during a meeting with HH the Emir at Al Wajbah Palace. The meeting was attended by HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani, a number of their excellencies ministers and Libyan Ambassador Hassona al-Lafi al-Shawish.
Qatari embassy takes part in Rabat charity Qatar’s embassy in Rabat has taken part in a charity event held at the diplomatic club in Rabat, organised under the patronage of King Mohamed VI of Morocco. The charity market, opened by the King’s sister Princess Lalla Asma, displayed Qatari products and industries. The revenue from the event will be dedicated to charity institutes and societies in Morocco.
Advisory council holds meeting The Advisory Council yesterday held its 38th weekly session chaired by its Speaker HE Mohamed bin Mubarak al-Kholeifi. The council reviewed a draft law amending some provisions of the Commercial Companies Law promulgated by Law No. (5) of 2002. It decided to refer the draft law to the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee. The Advisory Council also discussed draft law amending some provisions of the Penal Code promulgated by Law No. (11) of 2004. The council decided to refer it to the Legal and Legislative Affairs Committee.
Talks held with Mali minister HE the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ahmed bin Abdullah al-Mahmoud yesterday met the visiting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation of Mali Moctar Ouane. They discussed bilateral relations and means of developing them as well as matters of common concern. |
